Science Olympiad
Our mission: To provide a fun, competitive platform for students to collaborate and deepen their STEM knowledge
Excel is proud to have its second year Division B (Middle School) Science Olympiad team for 2024-2025.
Students in grades 6-9 are invited and welcome to participate.
We will compete in the regional competition at Shorter University in February 2025. This is a one-day competition on a Saturday in Rome, GA. Date to be confirmed in the next several weeks.
Students can choose to compete individually or with a partner in events consisting of knowledge-based events, build events, or hybrid events (events with a test component and hands on components).
Practice
After school from 3:30-4:30 pm on the following dates:

Head Coach
I chose to be the head coach because my son has a love for science and I saw it as an exciting opportunity to bring Science Olympiad to Excel last year. I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages and in different capacities whether it’s sports related, assisting with academic teams, or serving children at our church. I really enjoyed working with the Excel students on the team last season and look forward to a second season with them.
