Community Service

“For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in,”
Matthew 25:35

Community service is any volunteer work that benefits the community. The student must be supervised and have the supervisor’s signature on this community service form to show that the hours documented by the students are legitimate. Students need to have PRIOR APPROVAL from Mr. Holsomback to ensure that the activity will count towards community service hours.

GUIDELINES:

1. Community service must benefit the community and take place outside of the school day.

2. Community service should not financially benefit the student.

3.  We want to see consistent service throughout the school year.  Students will have many opportunities outside of class to fulfill this requirement.

4.  Upon completion of the activity, this form needs to be filled out and signed.

5.  Community Service Progress Reports will be sent out:

· October 18, 2024

· November 20, 2024

· January 10, 2025

· February 12, 2025

· March 21, 2025
